More On Expeditions

 

Every year we organise several types of 4x4 expeditions in the Egyptian Sahara, journeying to the far reaches of the globe in order to carry out documentary filming, scientific missions and photographic expeditions. 

Utilising our distinctive backround and experience, we have created original itineraries to explore and discover the treasures of the Sahara Desert.  

All of our expeditions are led by experienced desert guides that spend several months of the year in these remote places guiding trips, organizing scientific expeditions and exploring different corners of the Sahara. Because the desert is their passion, they are able to share with you their knowledge of the unique geology, flora and fauna.

All of our drivers are locals from the areas we travel through.  They have extensive experience driving in desert conditions.  We use Toyota Land Cruisers specially equipped for deep desert expeditions (extra tanks, special suspension kits, air compressors, etc.).

For navigation, we use high-tech equipment (PC's, satellite images, GPS, etc.) as well as more conventional tools (maps and compasses).  Thuraya satellite phones are available on all expeditions in case of emergency.
